Where artists have supplied samples in the Voter Pack, have you based your assessment of their work on just those samples or have you sought out more? There was at least one artist whose Voter Pack samples I thought were awful, then I found their portfolio and there’s loads of work that’s so much better. Baffling.
I’m surprised you ranked Meathouse Man so highly. It was a long way last for me.

The problem here is that I am morally opposed to Girl Genius and Doctor Who. I guess the solution is to leave it blank after No Award.

Slightly embarrassingly, I’ve checked my votes and found that the artist I’ve referred to above was put below No Award anyway. I think I must have been really annoyed with the poor drawings submitted for the Voter Pack. Rather than repeat myself here, I’ll just note that I’ve written about the artist categories on my Tumblr, with Best Graphic Story still to come.

Ah, makes sense. Still have yet to read the DW, but I am morally opposed to Girl Genius winning again (they should have continued to recuse themselves). The thing I find is that I find Meathouse Man such an objectionable comic I’m even more morally opposed to that winning. But that’ll have to wait until I write about the Graphic Story category.
