Very hard, very short, strong on science, weak on character.

Quality: **
Hardness: *****

The main character of this story is called ‘Red’ Vengeance. This ridiculous name is casually introduced in such a way as to suggest we should already be familiar with its owner. A search on the internet reveals that yes, she also appeared in other stories set in the same universe. This is the sort of information that it would have been helpful for H&C to include in their introduction but, of course, they didn’t.
