Just wow. Reminds me of ‘Star Trek: the Next Generation’, a series for which I still have an inexplicable fondness but now hilarious in its unconscious, po-faced hypocrisy. And I’m not just talking about that whole Kling-on/Black/Noble Savage shite, but episodes like ‘The Outcast’ – a defence of homosexuality/lesbianism etc so convoluted and opaque that I wonder what your average eleven-year-old made of it. Especially if he – or she – was your average gay eleven-year-old.
