Hey, Martin–I’ll speak just for my story. You’re absolutely right. It’s slight stuff. In the context of my collection it was something completists would enjoy. In the context of an anthology wanting to define slipstream, it puzzled me. I had asked the editors if they’d prefer to see something else, but they had their hearts set on that story for some reason. I suppose because they felt it was representative of some particular strand of slipstream. Not for me to reason why, I guess.
